Wereldfeest Leuven

Het Wereldfeest Leuven is a festival for all people of Leuven, where the diversity of the city is reflected. Expect various cultural performances, engaging debates on current topics, information stands from various civil society organizations and diverse associations at our impact square, delicious world cuisine, and children's entertainment, where local initiatives also present themselves. Performances by, among others: Los Callejeros, PhilliDUB (reggae and dub), Enoh Maximum (Afrobeat), Myosotis (5 troubadours from Brel to Brassens), ENAA (Nepalese dance), Elkofieh48 (Palestinian dance), Vestari (Latin American folk), Holi color celebration with ISAL, Cirkus in Beweging (Atobaf), and more! Debates: Important themes will be discussed US imperialism with, among others, Ludo De Brabander (Vrede vzw) Gaza and Zionism with, among others, Fatena Al Ghorra and Martijn Lauwers Migration with, among others, Albina Fetahaj and Flor Didden World cuisine: discover delicious dishes from, among others, Cameroon, Nepal... Various organizations committed to global solidarity introduce themselves with information stands. It is a joyful day on which we emphasize the connecting aspect, solidarity, and Leuven's multiculturalism! Wereldfeest (World Festival) is a collaboration of various partners, including Wereldfeest vzw, AIF+ vzw, City of Leuven, Wereldcafé, Leuvense Vredesbeweging, Nationale Loterij, Het Groot Ongelijk, UCLL, Oxfam Wereldwinkels, Compagnie Cordiale, EPO, Province of Flemish Brabant, CUF, Club Chocolate, Kirat Rai Society, Kirat Yakthung Chumlung vzw, ENAA vzw….
