European Quarter: work in progress

The installation of European institutions has deeply marked the urban fabric in which they were established, so much so that today we speak of the “European quarter” to designate this part of the city. For several years, regional authorities have been seeking to transform it: the district, today “100% offices,” must become more habitable, more mixed, and greener, which notably involves the reintroduction of housing. How do these laudable objectives translate (or not) into real estate projects? How is the gigantic Cityforward operation, which concerns 300,000 m² of European Commission offices, developing? These are the questions we will try to answer!
