Bumblebee quest BUMBLE(bee)S in the Rothoek

During Bee Week , we will go looking for bumblebees together. On this walk, you will get to know our fluffiest wild bees and learn a lot about their way of life and relationship with certain plants. You probably already knew that they are important pollinating insects, but have you heard of long-tongued and short-tongued bees? We will also teach you how to recognize the different types of bumblebees:  the red-tailed bumblebee, common carder bee, or tree bumblebee will no longer be a mystery to you ... sign up quickly …. When? Saturday, June 6, 2026 Start at 2 PM (until approx. 4 PM) Meeting place: Parking van Tennisclub TC Westerlo, Broekstraat at no. 21, in Zoerle-Parwijs, Westerlo. Free for Natuurpunt members ; during the bumblebee weekend, you can become a member if you aren't one yet, and you will immediately enjoy the free member price for this bumblebee search. Non-Natuurpunt members: 2€ (cash on site). Bumblebee guides from Natuurpunt Westerlo will help you on your way! Voluntary donations are of course welcome!
