In a dilapidated farmhouse in Illinois, we look inside a dysfunctional family. Dodge and Halie try in vain to keep their sons Tilden and Bradley in line. Nothing to worry about, nothing to see here. In a new translation of Sam Shepards masterpiece Buried Child, Compagnie Gardavoe brings a raw psychological drama full of wry humor. Cheerful but razor-sharp, it exposes all illusions about family and coming home. After TEN OORLOG (2018) and CONFITUUR (2023), Compagnie Gardavoe is once again resolutely choosing site-specific theater.
