Time of the Gypsies (originally known as Dom za vešanje) is an iconic Yugoslavian film from 1988 directed by Emir Kusturica. In this magnificent story, which takes place around Sarajevo and in Italy, Perhan – an engaging young Roma with telekinetic powers – gets entangled in the world of petty crime. It brings him quick money, but puts everything he holds dear at risk.
The soundtrack of Time of the Gypsies is world-famous and forms the absolute soul of the film. The music was composed and arranged by the legendary Yugoslavian musician Goran Bregović.
