The linden trees of Silly celebrate their 270 years during the Journées du Patrimoine Les September 12 and 13, 2026, the Office du Tourisme de Silly invites you to celebrate an exceptional anniversary: the 270 years of the linden trees of the Place, true witnesses of the history of our municipality. On the occasion of the Journées du Patrimoine, a varied program will allow you to (re)discover this emblematic heritage under a new light, through activities for all ages mixing history, nature, culture, and conviviality. A weekend at the heart of heritage Throughout the weekend, the Maison de Normandie will host the exhibition "Les tilleuls se souviennent", retracing the history of these remarkable trees and the numerous events they have gone through over the centuries. Discovery enthusiasts will also be able to enjoy free departures of bicycle circuits, proposed and explained by the Commission Promenades, as well as several guided walks highlighting the natural heritage and local legends. Saturday will be marked by several highlights: the planting of the 10th linden tree and the inauguration of a plaque in tribute to Gilles Carlier the official vernissage of the exhibition a glass of friendship on the Place a storytelling walk around the linden trees a Bingo du Tilleul a lantern ball animated by a brass band, followed by a musical evening On Sunday, the festivities will continue with: a musical aperitif accompanied by an accordion a discovery workshop dedicated to the linden tree, led by the Jardin des Voisines the show "La forêt des tilleuls enchantés", presented in the church.
