‘Spanish warmth, raw emotion…’ Between two worlds, between flight and return, Nena sings with heart and courage about the past of her people. Born on the banks of the Meuse, in a family of Spanish political exiles, she sings with intensity about the scars of migration and the memories of the rural Spain of her grandparents. As a child, she was nicknamed ‘the little Pasionaria’ and she draws from her family history to create compositions that are steeped in rebellion and hope. Nena navigates between New Latin Song, folk, and flamenco rumba, and draws inspiration from greats like Chavela Vargas and Violeta Parra. Poetic melancholy blends with Iberian rhythms. In 2023, after having been the opening act for Manu Chao in Liège, she began her first solo project. "]}-1;0;0
