Bootconcert Gedane-Golven-Nemen-Geen-Keer IV - Suzan Peeters

We take the audience on a boat trip along the coast of Ostend. Every morning, you can board the Gedane-Golven-Nemen-Geen-Keer Boat and sail along with the waves of the moment. In this concept created by Sarah Yu Zeebroek, she presents four exceptional musicians who will each use air on their own specific instrument to produce sound waves at sea: Joachim Badenhorst (air through a wind instrument), Pieter-Jan De Smet (air past the vocal cords), Elisabeth Klinck (air past a stringed instrument) and Suzan Peeters (air through an aerophone). Suzan Peeters will be performing during this boat concert. Suzan is a Brussels based accordionist, composer and improviser. With her accordion, she explores new sounds and pushes the acoustic boundaries through a fascinating interplay between her body and the instrument. Last year, Suzan Peeters released her debut album Cassotto on the Belgian label blickwinkel, which was enthusiastically received and immediately established her as one of the most promising names on the Belgian experimental music scene. She has already built a reputation as far afield as London by combining her accordion with electronic sounds and unusual objects such as massage boards.
