In Com'post – letters to composers, music and word meet each other. Pianist Florestan Bataillie and oboist Bram Nolf bring music by great composers like Bach, Mozart, Schumann and Ravel to life.
Between the music, Maaike Cafmeyer reads personal and fictional letters to these composers. With her characteristic flair, she addresses the masters directly and sheds new light on their work and their time. This creates a larger story, which reaches further than the notes on paper.
At the same time, Maaike also lets the audience into her own universe, where a grandmother, a garden, and birds unexpectedly become part of this musical correspondence.
The result is a warm and imaginative performance in which music, humor, and emotion meet.
