With around 500 film soundtracks to his name, including 70 award-winning productions, he is one of the most influential composers of our time.This extraordinary musical legacy is brilliantly performed by Ensemble Le Muse in an impressive tribute to the Italian legend. Beautifully interpreted soundtracks, supported by film footage and photographs, and enriched with anecdotes and historical/biographical insights by conductor Andrea Albertini (a friend of Ennio!), create a magical atmosphere during the performances of this remarkable Italian ensemble.Ensemble Le Muse features a fully female orchestra, composed of instrumentalists who previously performed with the renowned music group Rondò Veneziano. The orchestra is joined by vocalist Angelica Depaoli, whose voice deeply moves audiences and brings unforgettable cinematic moments back to life.The programme includes many of Morricone’s most famous soundtracks, including of course The Hateful Eight, which earned him the Academy Award for Best Original Score in 2016 at the age of 87.Shortly after receiving the Oscar, The Music of Ennio Morricone premiered, marking the start of a series of thirty sold-out performances across Europe. Classics from Italian Western icon Sergio Leone are also featured, such as For a Few Dollars More, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and the legendary Once Upon a Time in the West.A magnificent tribute to a great talent who gave musical soul to countless iconic films with his epic soundtracks.
