Later when I grow up... Yes, what actually happens when I get older? Will a lot change? Does it hurt? What does that teenager actually really think? But yes, how was I myself? Am I annoying every now and then? Or are those mainly the others? Later when I grow up I will be... annoying! Sometimes the others are really ‘KAPOT irritant’ (TOTALLY annoying) and they don't understand anything at all! Or am I not allowed to say that? Where should I go with all that criticism and pent-up frustrations!? Today is the day! Today the truth is named! Because children are just too loud, teenagers really stink, adults are boring and the elderly are sloooooow! Voilà. Growing up is not just becoming bigger, older and grayer. There is much more to it. It is also exciting, just like memories of youth and discovering each other's world. Maybe we also have a lot in common in that? Do we look more like each other than we think? ‘KAPOT irritant’ is a theatrical audio performance that fixes a meeting between different ages and makes them think about each other, about growing up and getting older. Children, young people, adults and the elderly go on a safari together along all stages of life. With headphones and each from a different perspective, they meet each other in a playful, interactive way and collide with quite a few prejudices. A performance for (6+)+(12+)=(18+) and old(er) (for a mix of generations). We organize this performance for schools and as a Cultuur na de Noen (Culture after Noon) performance, to get a nice mix of generations. “We don't know a lot of things about each other during ‘KAPOT irritant’.
