Science is HOT! It is cool to out yourself as a small or big nerd. Jan Leyssens has long made no secret of the fact that he is a science freak. His passion manifests itself in a children's book series about scientific wonder. Jan comes to tell the stories from his children's book series under the musical accompaniment of the wonderwaar band. Together with the children, the band dives to the deep sea, crosses the universe, and digs up fossils. " In 2017, Jan Leyssens was asked by TEDxAntwerpen as a speaker. He decided to talk about the science stories he tells his children. The idea for a children's book series about the stories behind science was born. Currently, Jan brings three stories together in 1 Wonderwaar narration. “On a mission to the seabed”, “The discovery of the dinosaurs”, and “Is there life in the universe?”.
