From relationship mechanisms to the war in Iran, and from the global environmental crisis to one’s own body rebelling — Shervin/e’s pain takes many forms at once. Her practice spans installation, drawing, sculpture, sound and video, and explores the fragile balance between control and surrender, structure and breakdown, logic and intuition. Trained as an architect at KU Leuven and Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Sheikh Rezaei approaches the world through systems of precision and order. At the same time, her artistic practice focuses on that which eludes control: the organic, the emotional and the fluid.
