A warm look at aging, with sharp questions as a starting point.
moving – funny – lighthearted – moving - confronting
Rascomédienne An Nelissen celebrates her 70th birthday and 50 years on the boards with a festive performance full of humor and zest for life.
She thought she had gathered enough life wisdom and could undergo life quietly, but nothing could be further from the truth. A letter from a seven-year-old with surprisingly sharp questions sets everything in motion, and together with the audience, she goes in search of answers and a look at the future, however short it may become.
For more than 30 years, An has been a fixture in Flemish theaters. With her well-known monologues, she built a loyal audience and grew into an icon, by some even called the “primordial mother” of Flemish comedy.
