ULB Culture offers an "ArtScience" exhibition cycle that creates a dialogue between ULB's modern and contemporary art collection and the scientific knowledge produced within the University.
This new edition revolves around the theme of memory.
Individual, collective, biological, digital, political, architectural, emotional, cultural memory...
The works in the collection become sensitive points of entry, while ULB researchers offer cross-disciplinary keys to understanding: how a memory is constructed, how societies remember (or forget), how places keep traces, how bodies learn, how technologies transform our memories, how narratives shape our identities.
"Art & Memories" will thus propose a journey where art reveals what science explains, and where science illuminates what art makes sensitive — an invitation to understand memory as a living, shared, conflictual and fragile process.
