Angry Spirits - LAZARUS

A sharp, energetic reworking of Dostoevsky’s Boze Geesten in which a young revolution in a small community results in a chaotic fight between faith, doubt, and destructive ideals. In a small, rich rural community, the peace is abruptly disturbed when the young generation unleashes a revolution out of dissatisfaction. Their approach is reckless and destructive, without a concrete plan for the future. LAZARUS has become a kind of Dostoevsky specialist over the years. After ‘Idiot’, ‘Karamazov’, and ‘Crime and Punishment’, they are working with ‘Boze Geesten’, the fourth and last major novel of the Russian writer. Angry spirits and demonic innocence alternate in a parade of passionate characters who fight for their honor and their faith.
