Gretchen Parlato is an American jazz singer. She broke through internationally thanks to her victory in The Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocal Competition (2004). By combining jazz with influences from pop, Brazilian music, and world music, she grew into one of the most remarkable voices in contemporary jazz. In September 2026, she will release a new album.
