This coming-of-age film is the feature film debut of local director Anthony Schatteman. The filming took place largely in his native village of Wetteren. It premiered at the Internationaal Filmfestival van Berlijn and received many positive reviews. The young lead actors were praised, and Lou Goossens in particular was called a revelation in his debut role. The film was deservedly awarded three Ensors in 2026.
Fourteen-year-old Elias grows up in a warm family in a quiet Belgian village. He is dating Valerie, but when he becomes friends with his new neighbor, his world is turned upside down. He realizes that he is truly in love for the first time, but does not want to be 'different'. The struggle with himself brings him from one emotion to another.
