Uus Knops, Joris Hessels & Katrijn Jacobs // Mourning in confidence

Uus Knops (psychiatrist, psychotherapist and grief expert) is committed to making the grief culture in Flanders a lot warmer. In a triptych, she explores these themes on various levels together with moderator Joris Hessels. Students from the Academy for Podiumkunsten Utopia provide the musical framework. Katrijn Jacobs adds a visual dimension by means of striking illustrations, in which intangible emotions are brought to life in an incisive way. The performance by Uus Knops revolves around saying goodbye, grieving, and comfort. She combines word, live music, and visual illustrations in a full-evening program.
