SoundImageCulture and Escale du Nord present Mea Culpa de Patrick Tass as part of Mois du Doc.
The film will be followed by an exchange with the director.
Lies and guilt are at the heart of the relationship between Patrick and his mother, Randa. Over the years, Patrick has kept their voice messages and video calls. From these exchanges, he composes a crossed portrait of their lives: that of his mother in Lebanon and his own in Belgium.
At once intimate and deeply rooted in social realities, the film unveils a complex relationship, marked by geographical and emotional distance, while exploring the experience of exile and homosexuality.
