Against the backdrop of old Venice, a sensual story full of intrigue unfolds, somewhere at the intersection of Bridgertonen Poor Things. Love, loss, and desire are brought to life in a theatrical world with puppets, acting, and live music. Amore di Amore is a romantic and poetic coming-of-age story. At a party near Venice, fourteen-year-old Lucia falls in love with seventeen-year-old Giacomo Casanova. For both, it is their first great love. They promise each other eternal fidelity, but shortly thereafter, Lucia disappears from his life without a trace. An event that would color Casanova's view of women forever. What really happened? Was it a vacation romance that had to disappear? Or did Lucia renounce her own happiness? The performance is inspired by the novel by Arthur Japin. De Nederlandse author won the Libris Literatuurprijs with Een schitterend gebrek. The book was translated into dozens of languages and recently also filmed.
