Guided tour Sint-Lambertuskerk Neerharen - Great Church Bicycle Tour

Step inside 150 years of parish history and discover in the Sint-Lambertuskerk van Neerharen an impressive protected retable from 1525, an atmospheric historical cemetery and a unique anniversary exhibition. Discover this beautifully restored neo-Romanesque basilica from the 19th century. Inside is one of the most important art treasures of the municipality: the legally protected Antwerp retable from around 1525, on which the Passie van Christus and the Boom van Jesse are depicted. Do not forget to take a walk through the atmospheric cemetery, which is surrounded by a historical wall with graceful wrought-iron fencing. Here, remarkable grave monuments from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries can be admired, including the tomb of abbess Maria Ursula De Minckwitz. In 2026 the parish also celebrates its 150th anniversary. Visitors can therefore also visit the temporary exhibition that runs until mid-September.
