Two Systems Lowie Vercammen and Louis De Backere both studied accordion at the Conservatorium van Gent under Philippe Thuriot. After graduating, they joined forces and formed the accordion duo Two Systems. In the Big Little Music Competition chamber music competition in 2025, they took home both the jury prize and the audience prize. With a passion for both timeless classics and less-heard contemporary compositions, they take their listeners on a journey through a thoughtful and contemporary program. Nature is central to Vivaldi's The Vier Jaargetijden , in the contemporary reworking by Max Richter. This minimalist-inspired version is complemented by Encounters by Uroš Rojko, a contemporary work that allows the accordion to be heard in a broad and versatile sound perspective.
