Het Oud Kerkhof van Hasselt: a 19th-century park cemetery

Walk in the 19th-century cemetery with attention to the rich funerary symbolism. We discover the graves of the many Hasselt residents who helped shape the appearance of the city (mayors, jenever distillers, politicians, noble families, artists...). It is an atmospheric park with a unique splendor of trees, mosses, and other plants. The dead are silent as the grave, but the graves tell us a whole history.
