youth theater performance "Fish Heart"

Our play Fish Heart is lightly based on the book Hoe Tortot his Vissenhart Verloor van Benny Lindelauf. A book peppered with beautiful drawings, humorous stories, and a moving friendship against the background of a gruesome war. What appeals to us is the way in which those heavy themes are presented almost ‘lightly’ while at the same time the horror of the battle is not covered up. Lindelauf can wonderfully balance on that sharp knife and it is also that balance that we try to show throughout the play.
