Concert: Ellis Mane

Ellis Mane is an (expatriate) Ghent singer-songwriter who started with an indie pop project in the attic, using an electric guitar and a loop station. She made her entrance with the EP Nice To Meet You (2022) and added a sequel to that with a first full-fledged album The Earth Is Glued Together With Gold (2024), which was released on blue vinyl under the Dutch label AudioSport Records. Ellis Mane was already able to stimulate many (inter)national music blogs with her previous singles and earned her stripes on the stages of Maanrock (2023), Popmonument (NL, 2023), and Labadoux (2024), among others. The sound of Ellis has evolved during the writing of this record from a kind of restrained bedroom indie pop to more and more expressively pronounced indie rock in the style of Courtney Barnett, Eels, and Patti Smith.
