Extraordinary classical with Maria Mudrova & Volodymyr Fedorov

Gastheer Kevin Van Staeyen is central with original work, performed by top cellists Maria Mudrova and Volodymyr Fedorov. Their interaction ensures a warm and intense musical experience. For the second concert in the series Buitengewoon Klassiek, Kevin Van Staeyen is not only the host but has also written out the compositions especially for this concert for the musicians: cellists Maria Mudrova and Volodymyr Fedorov. Maria Mudrova, was born in Nizhniy Novgorod (Russia) and showed her exceptional musical skills at a very young age. Since she was five years old, she received piano lessons and cello lessons. Maria successfully graduated from the Music Lyceum for Specially Gifted Children and continued her studies at the conservatory in Moscow where she graduated cum laude. Maria is passionate about chamber music. During her study years, she became a laureate of numerous chamber music competitions and festivals. Maria has also always had a preference for playing in an orchestra. Since September 2010, Maria has been a permanent member of Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. Volodymyr Fedorov is a young Ukrainian cellist. Volodymyr started playing the cello at the age of six and received his first training at the Charkiv Nationaal Muzieklyceum and studied at the Charkiv Nationale Kunstuniversiteit. In 2007, he began his professional career with the Charkiv Philharmonisch Symfonieorkest. In 2016, he became a soloist and principal cellist, member of the Philharmonisch Strijkkwartet and active in chamber music. Since 2017, he has also been working with the orchestra of the Nationaal Centrum for the Uitvoerende Kunsten (NCPA) in Mumbai. From 2025, he is part of the cello section of the Antwerps Symfonieorkest.
