What do you do when youth and beauty fade and the admiration stays away? Bavo Buys takes you into the universe of Narcissus, their alter ego that enters into the battle with time. In a world where being seen is everything, Narcissus makes a desperate attempt to immortalize the youngest version of himself. The performance mixes fiction, documentary, and social media in a critical solo that both denounces and celebrates our narcissistic society. Inspired by the myth of Narcissus and The Picture of Dorian Gray, Bavo explores the devastating power of self-preservation. In 2025, the performance was awarded the Sabam Prize during the TheaterFestival.
