Guided tour VLOET Permafruit (Food forest nursery)

We walk together through VLOET Permafruit, where we combine an agroforestry system, a young tree nursery, and a food forest under the banner of regenerative agriculture. At our experimental site, we combine sustainable techniques to develop productive ecosystems. We enjoy sharing our insights, experiences, and failures. We focus on the selection of fruit trees and shrubs that thrive in our (changing) temperate climate. In doing so, we aim for the greatest possible diversity of mother plants, including staples such as apple, pear, plum, nuts, berries, but also quince, fig, nashi, grapes, mulberries, persimmon... and much more! Everything is still young and in the growth phase (first planting in 2021), but we ourselves already find it a fascinating place that we could talk about for hours. This tour is for everyone who feels that things can be done differently with food and landscape. For those interested in agroforestry, food forests, or growing their own fruit — with or without experience. For those who like to learn from a place under construction, or just want to slow down and walk around in a living landscape.
