Jessica, Perla, Julie, Ariane, and Naïma are five teenage mothers. They come from underprivileged families, face a complicated life path, but all yearn for safety and happiness. The mother house where the lives of these five young women cross seems like a bastion of hope. Here, there is still belief in resilience, patience, and compassion. Still following the same recipe with a high degree of realism, especially thanks to the inexperienced but authentic actors, this is perhaps one of the best films by the Dardenne brothers. Once again, the film takes place in the Waalse Seraing, where the two brothers, as always, take the fate of the weakest in society to heart.
