A trip of some 60 km towards Klein Willebroek
Wat can you expect? Departure at 9:30am at Oud Gemeentehuis.\n\nVia Hove, Kontich, Aartselaar we cycle to the Sint Bernardusabdij in Hemiksem. We follow the Scheldt for a little while and then cycle onto the Rupel dike. In Niel right by the Rupel dike we can stop for lunch. On a Monday it was not easy to find an eating establishment that is open. In the Boekenhof we are welcome. They have among other things croque, quiche...\nVia Noeveren, an old brickmaker's village with a nostalgic cafe and brickworks museum, we reach Boom. We cross the Rupel via the bridge or with the ferry and ride through Klein Willebroek, a photogenic village between the Rupel and Sea Canal. Unfortunately, the hospitality industry with small lunch is closed here on Monday.\nVanuit Klein Willebroek we can choose between the short or the long route. The short route continues to follow the Rupel dike up to the blue bridges.\nThe longer route rides past Hazenwinkel, the Broek, and Heindonk also to the blue bridges.\nHere we seek out the Nete and continue to follow it to the Pime in Duffel. Via de Vinkenstraat driving\nwe arrive back in Vremde.\n\nMore info and registration
