Midsummer concert - from night to light

On June 21, the longest day of the year, Kamerkoor Francis-Chorum and chamber orchestra Concertato, under the direction of Steven van Kempen, bring an atmospheric Midsummer concert in the Sint-Ursulakerk van Lanaken. The concert is built around themes traditionally associated with midsummer: nature and stillness, dream and enchantment, confusion and longing, followed by recovery and light. Music and word together form a poetic moment in which the transition from twilight to dawn is central.  An invitation to slow down, listen, and experience the special atmosphere of midsummer night. Expect a rich and varied program that balances between stillness, enchantment, and a hopeful new beginning.
