This summer, you can once again enjoy beautiful carillon concerts. This takes place in the beautiful setting of the Deanery Garden, Kerkplein 4. Every time from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Free admission. PROGRAM Wednesday, July 1, 2026 - Kenneth Theunissen and Stefan Meylaers - Queen Tribute Kenneth Theunissen is the city carillonneur in Ghent, Hasselt, and Sint-Niklaas and presents a tribute to the iconic British rock band Queen. Stefan Meylaers accompanies him on piano. Bohemian Rapsody will never have sounded so heavenly. Saturday, July 11, 2026 - Tom Van Peer – Vlaanderen Feest Onze's own city carillonneur Tom Van Peer presents a program dedicated to the Vlaamse Feestdag. Flemish songs by Will Tura, Bobbejaan Schoepen, but also Niels Destadsbader will be featured. The Vlaamse Leeuw will be played to conclude. Wednesday, July 15, 2026 - Geert D’hollander – American Classics Geert D’hollander is the carillonneur of the Bok Tower Gardens, a monumental 60-ton Taylor carillon in Lake Wales, Florida, USA. This is one of the most unique and leading carillon positions in the world. We have the honor of hosting him in Lokeren. He will perform a selection of American carillon music, as well as a large number of Broadway classics. Tuesday, July 21, 2026 - Tom Van Peer – An evening of Chopin Tom Van Peer has made its own arrangements of a large number of Chopin classics. De Poolse romantic sounds even more enchanting on the carillon than on the piano. The evening will conclude with the Brabançonne, in honor of the Nationale Feestdag. Wednesday, July 29, 2026 - Luc Rombouts Luc Rombouts is the city carillonneur of Tienen, university carillonneur of Leuven, and carillonneur of the Abdij van Park. Rombouts also played an important role in the international recognition and promotion of carillon culture. He presents a varied program from Bach to Carl Orff and also some evergreens.
