Résumé Ovide, a joyful libertarian - certainly a bit licentious - was banished by a rather moralistic Caesar to the confines of the Empire in the year 8 AD. Le Poche has sometimes treated his work. This time, it is the Heroides that we are tackling: a collection of fictional letters written by 21 heroines to their absent lovers. The BrutaFlor company and director Flávia Lorenzi have chosen seven that will take us on the trail of Penelope and her weaving; Ariadne and the abandonment on the island of Naxos; Medea and Hypsipyle, the two powerful witches; Deianira, the little-known wife of Hercules; Helen and her burn-out; Dido, founder and queen of Carthage... The company rewrites the destinies of these mythological heroines by giving them a more contemporary and feminist face. The six actresses of BrutaFlor put a crazy energy into it; mixing singing, dancing, and music with improvisations full of fantasy and makeshift accessories. Les Héroïdes, who received a standing ovation every night last February at the Poche, are well worth therapy: you come out less alone, refreshed like never before, and ready to do battle with the birds of ill omen and pessimists of all stripes.
