On Friday, July 17th, Gitannekesfoor brings Balkan to Trekstaal! Are you ready for La Tromba (Chile) and Lazarus Soundsystem with an energetic mix of Balkan, Gypsy, Afro-Latin, and jazz on a dance floor on fire with rousing world beats and electronic remixes?! La Tromba is an energetic brass and percussion band from Concepción, Chile, that brings together various world music styles, from Balkan and Gypsy to Afro-Latin, jazz, and Arabic influences. Their sound combines lively brass with rhythmic percussion and a quirky folkloric flair, and they have performed on numerous European stages since their formation in 2011. Lazarus Soundsystem has been bringing rousing Balkan, gypsy, and world beats with electronic influences and remixes of, among others, Ska, Cumbia, and Anatolian funk since 2009, and gets many a dance floor moving with his energetic, cross-border sets.
