The Weaving - Limburg Sessions

Tussen County Kerry and Yorkshire  Folk – intimate – energetic The young, talented trio The Weaving proves that Irish and English folk is still very much alive. Méabh Begley (accordion, singing), Owen Spafford (violin), and Cait Ni Riain (piano, singing) bring music with roots in Kerry, Tipperary, and Yorkshire. They play dance melodies and songs that they approach from their own background, with room for interplay and polyphony. In collaboration with Wesp/Merodefestival, CC de Bogaard is a proud partner to bring more quality folk and world music to Limburg. Under the name Limburg Sessies, we present in 2026–2027 intimate acoustic concerts at special locations that carry a story themselves. In Sint-Truiden, the Academiezaal forms the atmospheric setting for this unique series.
