He has now bundled all those adventures into a moving but also funny theater show that is recognizable to everyone. Over Andries Andries Beckers is a man of many talents. He is a guitarist, podcast host, radio presenter, sports commentator, and is in possession of a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Oep z’n bakkes! The general public knows Andries best as the host of Welcome To The AA. Together with Alex Agnew, he talks to interesting people every week. From scientists to athletes and everything in between, as long as they have a good story to tell. The podcast reaches more than 450,000 listeners monthly and has been the unbeatable number one in the Flemish podcast charts for years. Another constant in his life is metal. Andries has a career behind him as a guitarist in the successful metal bands Born From Pain, The Setup, and Diablo Blvd. Meanwhile, he is one of the references in our country when it comes to the genre. Since 2025, he has been hosting De Zwaarste Show on Studio Brussel every week. On top of that, Andries is a co-host of the podcast Oep z’n bakkes, a show about Mixed Martial Arts. You can also hear him regularly as a commentator for combat sports on Play Sports. Moreover, he is a reserve stadium announcer at Royal Antwerp FC (a.k.a.
