All her own paintings and miniatures were lost. The performance depicts the lack of women in history and all the emotions that such a void brings with it. Veroline Vanderbeek and Abel Baeck bring ‘Mayken’ as a hybrid figure with awareness of her disappearance in history. From that place, she speaks, sings, and screams a contemporary confession to electronic music.
