NACHT (8+) / DE MAAN & Mayo

Sooner or later, the monster of the night visits everyone. It is a strange visit: there is someone in your room, and yet you feel very alone. The monster of the night has many names. Some call it 'Fear', or even 'Death', Others rather 'stress' or just 'change'. The monster of the night can sometimes stand mouse-quiet by your bed. But very often it just cannot stop talking. And when the sun comes up, it is gone again. Jonas Baeke and Mats Vandroogenbroeck make an intimate performance about fear with 'night'. They show different figures who are crept upon by a scary feeling at night. But what happens if we say 'hello' to the monster? If we don't try to chase it away, but talk to it? Are we still alone then? Are we still afraid then? 'NACHT' is the third collaboration between Mats and Jonas within youth theater. Their previous performances 'Bambiraptor' and 'Infinity Forever' were both selected for the TheaterFestival. For this new performance, they expand their rich visual universe and enter the world of puppet theater.
