The Bourgeois festivities return from July 19 to 21

The Bourgeois festivities are preparing to make their big comeback and gather, once again, the inhabitants of Rixensart around three festive days, placed under the sign of conviviality. For this 25th edition, the Place Cardinal Mercier will once again become the beating heart of the neighborhood, welcoming young and old for free celebrations accessible to all. Conceived as a moment of sharing and meeting, this event honors the village spirit through a varied, intergenerational, and warm program. Concerts, entertainment, activities for children, and festive moments will punctuate these summer days, in a family and relaxed atmosphere. The festivities will begin on Sunday, July 19 with an evening specially dedicated to the youngest and their families, ideal for starting the summer holidays. A children's party, animated by candy and balloons, will open the evening, followed by an open-air cinema session organized in collaboration with the Ciné Centre de Rixensart. On Monday, July 20, the entertainment will begin in the afternoon with the opening of the children's village and its many activities. The traditional Bingo de Bourgeois will also make its return, to the delight of regulars. Throughout the day and evening, open stages and varied concerts will follow one another, accompanied by catering stands run by local associations. On Tuesday, July 21, the day of the national holiday, the festivities will start in the morning with a friendly breakfast on the square and suggestions for walks in the surroundings. The day will continue with activities for children, concerts, and various musical highlights. As tradition dictates, the grand fireworks display will be set off at 11:15 PM. Faithful to their original spirit, the Bourgeois festivities remain above all a moment of gathering open to all, supported by the commitment of volunteers and local actors. It is a great opportunity to meet up and celebrate together, in a festive and authentic atmosphere.
