Bregje Iding is a borderline case. Literally, because she grew up in the Limburgse Lommel with a Flemish mother and a Dutch father. Figuratively, because with her humor she likes to balance between fiction and reality. She takes you into a very credible story, only to then cross the border of what is permissible just a little bit. In doing so, she creates a fascinating character, in a way that reminds one of a top-class performer like Dries Heyneman. With her humor, Bregje prefers to explore the absurdity of poverty, wealth and privilege. A new, fresh wind in comedy! Bregje started with comedy at the end of 2023 and made a name for herself as an opening act for Erhan Demirci. She was quickly noticed there and picked up by 5to9 as a new protégé. This allows her to perform a lot in comedy line-ups and she continues to grow steadily as a comedian in ideal circumstances. Karim Shatla is a Bruges native who approaches current themes such as diversity and inclusion in an infectious way. He describes absurd situations that are hilarious and confrontational, combined with the right dose of self-mockery. Maar Karim is also mainly chill, and who knows, he might still play a tune on his guitar here and there. Karim won the “Jef Staes” award in March 2025 as the most promising comedian of the moment. As a result, he will receive extra support for a year to throw himself into his comedy career.
