Don Vitalski’s Legendary Tuesday Club

In a year and a half, Don Vitalski's Legendary Tuesday Club effortlessly redrew the rules of the Flemish cultural landscape. Every Tuesday evening of the year, losers and superstars race past in this enchanting revue for three hours, at a dreamlike pace. Based in Paroza in Berchem, but also hosted in, among others, the Bourla, the Minard, the Stadsschouwburg Brugge and Worm Rotterdam. What started in the basement of De Groene Waterman grew without much prior planning into a phenomenon, with sold-out halls everywhere. Including death scenes to be re-enacted, a crash course in hug-throwing and moments to dance and stand out in a New Year's Eve style. With heroes like Romeo Spinelli, Lilith D'Licious, Diane Broeckhoven, Axl Peleman, Jan De Smet, Charlotte Verdick, Jenne Decleir, Parkaparaplu, the Dizzy Derwisj. Met Atomic Kim, DansTijger, Lupa Javanaise, Jan Lampo, Loulou La Belle. Met Parlé Texas, Magic Jaimy, the Johanna Rediers Belly Dance Show Team, Ernst Löw and many, many others. An insanely fast revue: from opera to punk rock, from burlesque dance to ballet, from poetry to stand-up. No act longer than five minutes, carried by a procession of heroes and the brilliant presentation of Don Vitalski himself.
