Let yourself be carried away by the age-old Wagon Play, with stories about the legend of the Maagdentoren and the hero Jan van Lier. With horse and carriage, modern troubadours ride into the festival for a contemporary version of the age-old Vlaamse Wagenspel. In three performances full of music, song, theater, and acrobatics, they take the audience along life, love, loss, and wonders. Especially for the Torenfeesten, the history of Zichem is also given a place, with the legend of the Maagdentoren and the heroic story of bailiff Jan van Lier during the fall of Zichem in 1578.
