'GLORIOUS BODIES' is a physical, moving, and hopeful circus and dance performance about the resilience of our bodies. About seeing and being seen, about the boundary between classical and contemporary circus. Featuring six acrobats between the ages of 56 and 68 with a background in the classical (or more classical) circus. Circus history archived in the body. Aging is still a taboo subject in our society, and certainly within the circus world. Just like top athletes, most acrobats stop intensive training after a certain age. How do the most perfect bodies transform? Can you ever make peace with your own body as a human being? Can you be in complete harmony? 'GLORIOUS BODIES' sheds light on the process of aging in a special way. Something that happens to us all, now, at this very moment. The performance starts from partner acrobatics and movement. It breaks through clichés surrounding the older generation. An impressive, charming, and humorous performance that shows what humans and the human body are capable of — and there is clearly no age limit to that.
