Van Shakespeares heroines to fairy tale martyrs, from Baudelaire to Warhol: the serene, eroticized corpse is idolized and consumed, while grief and gender-related violence are erased. Courtney May Robertson starts from her own experience: she was a witness to the death of her mother. Through traditional Celtic dance forms, she converts her grief into a necromantic ritual. Expect a post-apocalyptic feminist performance, noise music and bagpipes, a storm and new mythologies.
