Dorpswandeling Steenhuize-Wijnhuize - De Meierij Wijnhuize, the borders of Klein-Wijnhuize

Curious about the story of the Meierij Wijnhuize located within the land of Zottegem? How did it happen that Steenhuize was at one point called Steenhuize-Wijnhuize? This will all be explained to you in detail inside the beautiful little church of Wijnhuize, a district of Sint-Lievens-Esse. Afterward, we will set off and explore the old borders of Klein-Wijnhuize, now territory of Steenhuize, and a piece of which now even belongs to Erwetegem (Zottegem). We walk along Bekenhol, one of the most beautiful walking paths in this area, but unknown to many. From there, I will introduce you to the sometimes colorful toponyms that the region is rich in. We return along a beautiful slow road towards the Schreikapel and continue along quiet roads until we reach the church of Wijnhuize again.
