Het Natuurhulpcentrum in Oudsbergen has been a refuge for "animals in trouble" for almost 50 years.
With more than 8000 animals being taken in annually, there is a lot of activity in and around the nature aid center. There is always something to see and experience. After the welcome, the screening of a short video starts, which shows us interesting moments that we as a group cannot participate in: exciting interventions, our veterinarian at work in the operating room, feeding baby animals, or fun animals that are not on display at that moment. Subsequently, the experienced guides take us on a walk through the center and we can view everything up close: the central kitchen, the medical section, rehabilitation cages, waterfowl enclosures, flight cages for birds of prey, reptile room, fox cage, quarantine building, lion cages, monkey enclosures,... supplemented with fun anecdotes, little facts, and stories about the animals themselves.
