Often disguised as a joke, meme, or ‘dog whistle’. 1312, a ‘milk emoji’, 187, 88, … Hate symbols spread quickly via the internet, often disguised as humor or innocent jokes. Think of hate memes. Or hidden hate symbols such as ‘dog whistles’. But also think of extreme hate symbols that originate in closed online groups and find their way out. What do they mean? How do you recognize them?
