It's almost Christmas. In a supermarket parking lot, in the middle of the trash cans, two men, the narrator and Pierre, his accordionist sidekick, prepare a small show. They are waiting for the buses of pilgrims who, perhaps, will never come. Around them, the silhouettes of the "invisibles", those whom we no longer look at. In the background, an unexpected ghost: Francis of Assisi. And what if he had been born in 1982? Who are the excluded of the world that he would have met on his way? Après Laïka and Pueblo, Rumba is the last part of the "trilogy of poor devils" by Ascanio Celestini, where satire, tenderness, and raw poetry mingle. Carried by the live music of Philippe Orivel, David Murgia makes a burning word resonate. Avec Rumba, they conclude in beauty their exploration of the peripheries by an ode to the memory of the forgotten of our society, those who no longer have a voice to express themselves.
