Turan (KZ)

Let yourself be surprised and amazed by the ethno-folk ensemble Turan, which has been considered the most important musical ambassador of the Turkic-speaking countries of Central Asia since 2008. The five incredibly talented members play not only more than 30 folk instruments in a whirlwind show with infectious singing. They also reflect on their rich music culture and the healing properties of the various instruments. They talk about their special magical powers, and touch on the subject of baksy (shamans). After all, most of their national instruments - such as the dangyra and the kobyz - date from the baksy period. Since its inception, Turan has not only caused a furore in Central Asia, but the ensemble also reaps success in the rest of the world.
